In this presentation, I would like to present practical engineering solutions to some of the key bottlenecks in the membrane processes, including permselectivity trade-off, concentration polarization, and osmotic pressure. More specifically, practical implementation case studies on the use of membrane cascades to improve the process yield will be presented.
